The Headline Read: Suspect sought in execution...
It’s been a year since Emma and Luna were found dead, shot execution style along train tracks in Pennsbury Township, in southern Chester County. To this date, the crime still remains unsolved. Many efforts and leads were made to and investigated in finding the guilty parties to do this to two family dogs, just miles from their home.
I know you are probably wondering why I would write a post...

Are you Dressing up your Pet for Halloween?
I have to admit it, I tried to do it one time and Sherlock didn’t want anything to do with the pumpkin costume I got him. But it was fun to do anyway. I know a number of people that do this every year and some pets actually like being put into some sort of funny character looking piece of clothing and paraded around. I would love to be able to do it to all my animals. With 2 dogs and 6...
Black Cats & Halloween
Many of us associate black cats and witches with Halloween. So I thought I would give you a little background on black cats and how they relate to Halloween and why some people still are afraid of them.
The history of black cats in relation to evil dates back to Babylonian and Greek mythology with many interpretations of the meaning and orientation in folklore and in religion. Celtic druids...
What's Going on At the Chester County SPCA
Periodically I check out the Chester County SPCA website to see what is happening in the area that is for the benefit of this shelter. If you haven’t visited their site lately it has gone through some changes and is easier to navigate through.
I usually take the time and see what they may need as far as items for the dogs and cats that are currently under their care. This is something...
Casey and Her Life Preserver
On Monday, my dog Casey had to have surgery to remove some suspicious lumps. Though she came through the surgery fine and came home and all went well at least for the first day, she later was able to remove some of her stitches, which brought me to the point of putting the “cone” on her. Yes, the cone! We who have had dogs all have had to subject them to the humiliation of wearing the cone. If...
This is an interesting Blog on Breed Profiling
Though I didn’t write this, but I feel strongly against Breed Profiling of dogs. It is wrong and I recently read an article that speaks about this and I am re-blogging it for everyone to read!

End of my day
Though I am still on the road and its 9 pm and I’ll be home in about an hour, my day isn’t over yet. I’m back with Bella and Camden now and still have one more to visit before I can call it a night.
Than I can go home and curl up with my two dogs and do the last check on my cats, and by the way I have 6 but only 4 showed up for dinner, than I have 2 I’m fostering....
24 Hours of Pets
During the day I will be posting pictures of all the pets I see during “my rounds”. Some I posted this morning were dogs I saw last night. I have a busy day so it will be a variety.

Life on the End of Chain
I know a number of my readers are pet lovers and especially dog owners and may own one or two dogs themselves or more and I am dedicating this entry to all those dogs that have never been given the chance to know the love of a human. But even if you read this blog and don’t own a dog I want you to just imagine what life would be like at the end of a chain. This entry is rather longer than some I...
Birds, Bunnies, Bees and Butterflies with Bernie &...
Though I have many clients I see on a regular basis, I have two Springer Spaniels I see a couple times a week and I find spending time with them makes one enjoy the simple everyday things that most of us take for granted. During my visits with these two unique characters of “dogs”, I play various “search and find” games with them and lately I have been playing the one came I call: birds, bunnies,...
What am I going to Eat for Dinner Tonight?
My cat Camaro thought as she was exploring the yard and garage this afternoon. When along came Mr. Mouse minding his own business looking for a morsel of dry cat food to eat for dinner, not knowing he was going to be dinner.
Meanwhile, I, “Mommy” pull into the driveway to see Camaro carrying something in her mouth across the front yard. I get out and slowly approach Camaro, calling her name,...
Rain Gear for Dogs
Now this is an exciting subject to talk about now isn’t it? So I will try to add some humor to this, and make it educational at the same time. How about that? I can tell you this much, I have coats for my dogs to wear in the winter time when I take them walking or hiking, and when I first got and put them on Sherlock and Casey, it didn’t go over too well. Sherlock was so embarrassed he wouldn’t...
Rainy days and Dogs
Yes, we have more rain in our forecast, which doesn’t make it much fun for us humans to be out in, let alone dogs. Though some dogs that don’t mind the rain, there are many that dislike the rain very much.
I thought I would tell you about what I use to dry dogs off and keep them occupied during rainy days whether you are home with them or not.
Believe it or not the Sham-Wow towel works...
Breast Cancer & Your Pet
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and many women are reminded to get their mammograms and do their Breast Self-Exams. But a number of people aren’t aware that breast cancer can threaten your dog or cat too.
Breast cancer in is more commonly found in dogs than in cats. But if a cat gets breast cancer it is more aggressive.
A dog has five mammary glands on each size of their body. The...
The Bark in the Park Day!
As I have posted early this week and today, I, along with Sherlock and Casey and many other humans with their 4-legged companions attended the Bark in the Park at the Nottingham County Park today. And a beautiful day it was! Not only was the weather nice but all those that attended both with 2 legs and 4! It was a great day to be out and see so many happy pet owners and pets wander around...

Cats, Dogs and Sex
You are probably wondering what in the world am I talking about. This is a little bit of humor to add to your day about sharing those intimate moments you may have with you husband, wife, significant other, or partner and your pet. Just use your imagination. There are those moments that you have friends over for a party or picnic and the family dog decides to hump someone. It happens; they just...
