I was surprised to read this morning that chicken treats I give my dogs is made in China! Than to read this about dogs becoming ill from eating dehydrated chicken pieces or filets that come from China I was shocked! So I won’t be feeding them these treats anymore more to any of my client’s pets. Stick to organic or items made in the US for your pets. That’s your best bet. ...

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month!
I know a great deal of people find joy adopting a puppy or a kitten or even a pet that is under 1 year of age, because they are so full of life and are playful.  Many people look over or past the dog or cat that is more mature or even a little “gray”.  But these pets have so much life left in them to give to someone! I’m sure that is what was going through Kaya, the Siberian Husky’s mind when she came home from the vet with her owner Liz and was brought inside.  Liz being beside herself since she never experienced this with any of her dogs before didn’t know what to expect from her dog Kaya or how to handle it emotionally herself. She took her outside and laid Kaya on a blanket in the sun as she sat on the...

Gassing of Animals in Shelters
Some of you that keep up with animals issues in the U.S., may be aware of a dog named Daniel.  A beagle that survived a gas chamber at a shelter located in Florence, Alabama.  Since this miraculous event, a great deal of attention has been focused on this method of euthanizing dogs and cats and to end this practice throughout the U.S. I will admit I wasn’t aware that this practice is legal to be...
